Al has been a business owner for most of his life. For 20 years Al owned a video rental store, think a mom-and-pop version of Blockbuster Video.
11 years ago Al made a change and started his career as a limo driver. He learned the tricks of trade by first working part time for another limo company and then he bought a car and started his own driving business.
Today he not only transports clients from one location to another on time and on schedule, it's more than that, Al connects with his clients on a deeper level. He gets to know families from around the world. This is just one of the traits that sets Al apart from other drivers.
Al has a special quality where he instantly makes you feel comfortable. He arrives at least 10 minutes before he is scheduled to pick you up and waits patiently until you are ready to leave for your destination. He remembers the little things from having water and your favorite soda in the car to learning about your city and having the ability to compare structures and attractions in New York to your home. He has over 2,000 contacts in his phone and over 400 clients but when you are in Al's car, you are made to feel like you are are the only client on his roster.
If you are lucky enough to take a city tour with Al, he will stop at picture perfect locations and take photos of you and your guests or loved ones. As you drive, he will make restaurant recommendations and share the city's secrets with you. Every time you visit New York you will be left with wanting more.
Perhaps most importantly, Al always makes you feel safe. This past May Al picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the hotel. Before he waved goodbye he said, "Now remember, you have my number. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything. This city is a big place. Just know you have friend here in the city if you run into any trouble. I am here for you. You have my number! Call or text me. "
OCMG & Al Over the Years
We met Al in October 2015. It was by pure coincidence and great luck that we met him coming out of the New York Marriott Marquis while looking for a ride to a heliport for a helicopter tour of the city. He got us there safely and right on time. That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
We can't say enough nice things about Al. He is one of our cherished partners around the country. We highly recommend his services and can't wait for our next trip to New York so that we can once again be reunited with our dear friend and partner.
